Make an appointment

Schedule online or call us.

New Patients: Give yourself at least an hour for your appointment. You’ll need to arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get oriented. You’ll rest, with your needles for a suggested minimum of 20 minutes, up to about an hour. Most people find treatments very relaxing.

Returning Patients: How long your appointment takes depends on how long you rest for. Please arrive at least five minutes early: you need to check in, pay, use the bathroom, get all settled into your chair, etc. in time to be ready to get treated AT your appointment time. You’re welcome to rest as long as you like (we’ll get you up if we need the chair, or if it’s time for us all to go home).

Fill Out Paperwork

New Patients, or Returning patients who haven’t been in in a while, or if you have a new primary concern….fill out New Patient Paperwork. You can fill out the form online, accessed through your patient portal, print out patient paperwork to bring in, or arrive early enough to fill it out at the clinic (give yourself 15 minutes).

Meet With Your Acupuncturist And Get Treated

Come into the treatment room. Get a blanket and pillow if you think you’ll want them. Choose any available chair. Take off your shoes and socks, roll up your pant legs and shirt sleeves. Pull the lever, or press the buttons on the controller on the right side of the chair to recline back. Get all comfy. Your acupuncturist will come over once you’re all settled.

New Patients: You’ll go over your primary reasons for getting treated and your goals. Your acupuncturist will review your health history and ask pertinent questions to be able to craft an individualized treatment and treatment plan with you. Most conditions are not a One and Done situation. You’ll get the most benefit by getting follow up treatments that build on each other and help to make more durable shifts in your baseline for your primary concern, and improvement in your overall wellness.

Returning Patients: Your acupuncturist will check in. How have you been since your last appointment? Any changes or updates? Better, worse, Same? Feel free to share any new or additional concerns. The nature and strength of acupuncture is that it treats the person as a whole, so often it is possible and appropriate to take into consideration all of your symptoms and concerns that you have that day. You’re acupuncturist will check in about how you’re progressing with your treatment plan and how best to meet your current needs.

You’ll rest as long as you like, typically between 20-60 minutes. Make eye contact or give a little wave to the acupuncturist when you are ready to get up or if you need anything. If you need up at a certain time, let us know and we’ll watch the clock for you.

Most people find treatment very relaxing, and you may even fall asleep. If that’s not your experience, not to worry, the treatment is still working.
